Synopsis

In 1968, Michael McCarthy travels from Newfoundland to Ireland to explore the Burren, a rich geological wonder. There he meets Cathleen, a beautiful woman who has devoted herself to God and the church from a young age. Michael falls hopelessly in love, and Cathleen finds herself torn between her faith and her newly discovered desires.
