Synopsis

180° South follows Jeff Johnson, a bold and daring modern explorer, on his quest to retrace the epic 1968 journey of his heroes Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins to deep Patagonia. Along the way he gets shipwrecked off Easter Island, rides the longest wave of his life, and prepares himself for a rare ascent of Cerro Corcovado. As he travels, his eyes open up to the environmental disasters that threaten these places, as well as the human triumphs that are working to save them.
