Synopsis

"Journey to the Sun" is a beautiful story of friendship, courage and personal awareness. It chronicles a young man's painful journey through the social realities in contemporary Turkey. Mehmet is young man from Western Turkey who has come to Istanbul dreaming of a better life. There he meets Berzan, a Kurdish man from the East. The two become friends, bonded together in their fears for their future and their struggle to survive the present. But as their lives in the city take a turn for the worse, Mehmet decides to take a deeply moving journey across Turkey to the land of Berzan's dreams... the fabled Kurdistan.
