Curling

Côté's most accomplished film to date.
- Adam Nayman, Eye Weekly
Denis Côté makes finely wrought studies of people trapped in time and space, human ciphers who are mysteries even to themselves. Curling is a stunner.
- Peter Howell, The Toronto Star

Synopsis

Curling is a lyrical look at the unusual private life of a father and his daughter. Between his unremarkable jobs, Jean-François devotes most of his time to his 12-year-old daughter, Julyvonne, whom he obsessively protects from the outside world. Their simple existence in the remote countryside revolves around each other until a series of disturbing occurrences and secrets threatens to destroy the fragility of their relationship.
