L'Homme qui Rit

Synopsis

A carnival boss (Gérard Depardieu) rescues two orphans in a winter storm - a beautiful, blind girl and a boy whose face is deformed by a scar that makes him look as though he's constantly laughing.  They travel together for many years performing a show in which the boy is the star - people come from everywhere to see The Man Who Laughs. As he becomes famous and rich, he gradually grows distant from the only two people in the world who love him for what he is.
