Synopsis

Raquel has served as the Valdes family's maid for over two decades. At the age of 41, the stress of her job is finally starting to take its toll, triggering a series of crippling headaches and dizzy spells. The mother of the household decides to hire an additional maid to lighten the workload, but this doesn’t sit well with Raquel. Hell-bent on protecting her territory, she uses a barrage of passive-aggressive tactics to drive her would-be helpers away, one after another. Winner of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, "The Maid" is a humorous and touching story that will sweep you off your feet.
