Wooden Horse, The

Synopsis

The story of an epic escape from a prisoner-of-war camp in Germany. In order to conceal the beginning of the escape tunnel, the prisoners constructed a wooden vaulting horse which was carried out to cover the entrance each day. The film, which is firmly based on actual events, follows their efforts to build the tunnel, the escape from the camp, and their desperate journey across Germany to freedom.
