Two young lovers embark on a daunting pilgrimage from Paris across Spain to Algeria, by train, bus and foot, in the hope of discovering the land their parents fled decades ago. Fueled by passion and intoxicated with freedom, they defiantly take to the road with music as their only belonging, en route to a country that everyone else is trying to escape... backwards on the path to exile and spiritual awakening.
